Appreciate The Parts of You That Are Hard to Love.

This month in The Love Club, we each chose to love on a part of ourselves that is hard to love. Last year the part of me that I was loving back was my food (sugar & flour) addiction. This year, I’m loving on my Amygdala (the part of my brain that triggers my fight or flight response).

In addition to other self–acceptance tools and practices, we were invited to create a Love Ode to this part of ourselves.

Here’s My Love Ode to My Amygdala…

Fight or Flight Response
I Appreciate You Trying To Keep Me Safe.

Fear of Being Trapped
I Acknowledge You.
I See You.

Inner Child
I Am Embracing You.
Loving You As The Great Mother.
Feel My Presence. I Am Here.

Oh Wild Spirit
I Adore You and Your Desire to Be Free of Responsibilities.
I See You Spreading Your Divine Wings and Choosing to Be Fully Free.

You Are Safe.
You Are Free.
You Are Loved.

Breathe.
Slow Down.
Feel the Stillness.
Feel Into The Divine Love That Surrounds You.
That is You.

Remember Who You Are.
You Are Love.
Only Love.

Self Acceptance is Loving All Of You

What part of you (perhaps it’s a body part, a part of your past, or a quality/trait) that’s hard to love?
