Beautiful Weather Won Out Over Blogging During the Month of May
- I’ve been biking with my family.
- I’ve been playing in my backyard.
- I’ve been picking flowers from my garden & putting them in my hair.
- I’ve been eating fresh strawberries.
- I’ve been cooking outside with my new grill.
Local Blogging Events Have Been Keeping Me Busy
- I’ve been touring the Chicagoland Peapod factory (and getting my groceries delivered)
- I’ve been learning how to cook with Uncle Ben’s rice.
Two Books Caught My Attention in May
Disclaimer: When Peapod invited me on the tour of their warehouse, I also received lunch, a bag full of fresh produce, some Peapod swag, and a $50 gift card. Peapod did not ask me to mention this event on my blog. Mom Central & Uncle Ben’s invited me to a cooking class event. I had the opportunity to cook in a professional kitchen, eat food made from Uncle Ben’s rice, and take home lots of boxes of Uncle Ben’s rice. I am participating in TLC’s The Shadow Effect book tour and received a free copy of this thought provoking book. Peapod Photo Credit

Looks like a well-spent month to me! I love that you are all wearing bike helmets. Adults without helmets is bad enough, but when people let their kids go without them? Ugh. I can’t stand it.
.-= kim/hormone-colored days´s last blog ..I laughed, I cried, I thought, Then I cried some more =-.
Kim – We always wear helmets. It’s a family value to keep our brains as long as possible.
