Ever since my oldest son started kindergarten, we have been trick-or-treating for UNICEF. If you ask my son why we trick-or-treat for UNICEF, he’ll tell you it’s to raise money so people can buy healthy water for kids his age in developing countries.
If you ask me why we participate in trick-or-treating for UNICEF, I’ll tell you how inspiring it is to watch my children become active global citizens and how rewarding it is to see my boys intentionally helping others. I’ll tell you how amazing it feels to know my family is part of a global community raising money for children in 190 countries and territories that need better health care, more immunizations, clean water, improved nutrition, and quality education.
This year, I will be sitting down with my boys and sharing this inspiring video with them. We will talk about UNICEF, the children in this video, and how exciting it is that we can help children around the world…how we can be part of the solution.
