Members of the Global Team of 200 are participating in #27 Acts of Kindness in honor of the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary. Today, I am honoring Jack Pinto, age 6.

Jack Pinto was the same age and in the same grade as my youngest son. When I look at Jack’s smile in these photos, I see the same 6 year old energy and joy I find in my son’s smile. I am honoring Jack’s memory today with Acts of Kindness to fill six year old boys with JOY.

Acts of Kindness for Six Year Old Boys

  • Remember they are only 6 years old.
  • Actively listen to them.
  • Give them opportunities to be independent.
  • Spend one on one time with them.
  • Surprise them with ice cream sundaes for dinner.
  • Tell them how proud you are of them.
  • Let them be their messy and loud and silly and loving selves.
  • Support their passions.
  • Empower them to be great problem solvers.
  • Be creative and dive into imaginary worlds with them.

Remembering Jack Pinto

Jack Pinto, age 6, loved sports. He was an avid participant in a wide variety of activities including flag football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and snow skiing. Jack was an incredibly loving and vivacious young boy, appreciated by all who knew him for his lively and giving spirit and steely determination. In life and in death, Jack will forever be remembered for the immeasurable joy he brought to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
