I was compensated for my participation in Coca-Cola’s Balanced Living Workshop, but my thoughts and views are my own.
Pure Joy
On December 11 & 12, I will be participating in a Balanced Living Workshop in downtown Chicago. This is a BlogHer invitation-only event hosted by Coca-Cola, designed specifically for Chicago-area moms who are looking to find a balanced approach to both personal and family wellness. I’m excited to have two days to focus living an extraordinary life. I LOVE being with like-minded women and health and wellness experts talking about life balance. To me, that is simply pure joy.
Healthy Eating
Because my kids are picky eaters, I hope to leave the workshop with great new ideas on family nutrition. Personally, I’ve totally got my morning and afternoon weight-loss eating habits figured out. During the one-on-one wellness consultation that I will be receiving during the workshop, I’m hoping to nail down a solid eating plan for the hardest part of my day, which is between 2pm to 7pm. I’m also hoping to add some healthy and yummy dinners to my family menu during the interactive cooking demonstration.
Family-Friendly Fitness
If you’ve been reading my blog, you know that my goal has been to lose 50 pounds by March 1, 2013. I’ve lost 10 pounds so far and have 40 more to go. I was hoping to already be down 20 pounds, so it’s most likely that I’ll need more than 3 more months to get to my goal weight. During the family-friendly fitness session that I’ll be attending, I am hoping to learn how I can burn more calories each day while spending more quality time with my boys.
Health & Wellness Vision
I already have my ideal vision for my health & wellness in writing and hope to receive realistic, helpful, and actionable tips to help push me forward in achieving my health and wellness goals. During one of the sessions in this Balanced Living Workshop, we will be creating health and wellness vision boards. I’m excited to create a powerful visual for my health and wellness vision.
Icing on the Cake
In addition to all of the health and wellness goodness, I also get two days and one night away from my regular routines! Yeah! I love my boys and my life…but I also love getaways. And personal development getaways are my absolute favorite. All that I see missing in the agenda is time to sneak away for some super spa pampering. That would be (fat free) icing on the cake.
We can keep each other motivated to lose the weight! Here’s to next week!

So looking forward to meeting you- this workshop sounds like it’s perfect timing for your weight loss plan. I’m pretty excited about the ‘getting away’ aspect of it as well!
