I have been smiling and filled with excitement for the last week!
On September 28, while sitting my boring and currently messy bedroom, I received the following email from Karyn Musick, a Chicago Interior Designer and co-owner of Diva N’ Design…
Dear Stacey,
A HUGE Congratulations goes out to you, as you have been chosen as our “Dreamy Bedroom Makeover” Winner! We are very excited for you and can’t wait to transform your “Boring Master Bedroom” and give it a “New Dreamy Look”! We will be contacting you tomorrow to talk about the process. Then I found this post on Diva N’ Design’s Facebook page:
OMG! I could not believe it.
Back in March, 2012, I entered to win Diva N’ Design‘s $20,000 Mom Cave contest and was so disappointed when I didn’t win. So disappointed, that I almost didn’t enter their Dreamy Bedroom Makeover.
However…
One of my foundational Lifebook goals is to have a retreat/sanctuary in my small house – a space where I can go to recharge, meditate, and do my spiritual practices (on my own and with my children). I have been holding this intention even though I don’t currently have the budget to create one myself. If this was not one of my foundational goals, I may not have signed up for the contest.
Things are moving quickly.
On Monday Karyn and Lyn (another design consultant at Diva N’ Design) came to my home and we discussed my vision for my dream bedroom. They took measurements of my room and we decided to use brown and blue as the main colors for my makeover.
It’s hard to believe that within the next 30 days my dream bedroom retreat/sanctuary will become a reality.
