Speechless.

Women Warriors The Voices of Change

Women Warriors: The Voices of Change left me speechless. Amy Andersson’s vision, collaborations, and performance at Lincoln Center last week was literally one of the most spectacular performances I’ve ever witnessed.

This ground-breaking concert creation honored the strength and heroism of global activists fighting for social justice, human and civil rights, environmental causes, minority rights, gender equality and for the right of every girl to have access to education.

It was full of depth, soul, women’s empowerment, beauty, pain, sorrow, and possibility… all while creating enough energy to shift the vibration of the planet. Yes. It was that powerful!

I watched in awe.

Women Warriors The Voices of Change

I expected to cry throughout the entire performance, but instead I opened my heart as wide as I possibly could and allowed 800 years of women rising – the feminine rising – to move through me… body, mind, heart, and soul. With every breath, I drank up the stories, courage, and hope of each woman honored and celebrated within this extraordinary symphonic documentary.

As much as I possibly could, I tried to be one with the music, one with the singers, one with the musicians, one with the powerful words and quotes, and one with every woman up on the screen.

This is a must-see performance to awaken hearts around the world.

Women Warriors The Voices of Change

When I left Lincoln Center last Friday night, I was literally speechless, with so much moving through my body, mind, heart and soul.

I wanted to do more, know more, help more.

I wanted to be part of the Women Warriors legacy.

I wanted to get really clear on my role as a modern-day woman warrior.

I wanted to use my voice more for girls and women around the world.

I wanted to weep and scream at the injustice.

I wanted to bow to each of the extraordinary people involved with creating this masterpiece.

Thank you, Amy Andersson, for creating this magnificent, socially relevant, and engaging symphonic concert. Thank you Masih Alinejad, Sonita Alizadeh, Isolde Fair, Nathalie Bonin, and Gillian Hassert for your grace, strength, courage, and presence.
